State Deputy, Douglas J. Murray has challenged the Florida State Council to “Build the Body of Christ“, through our membership program. This program reflects the vision of our founder Fr. Michael J. McGivney. His vision was to organize Catholic men in order to have Christ's teachings dwell within them, then through works of charity spread Christ's teachings to others. By definition; Body is “a group of individuals organized for some purpose” and Building is a “structure built for permanent use (as for a dwelling.") Therefore, the vision to “Build the Body of Christ“ is to have an Organization in which Christ's teachings permanently dwell within us and is manifested through the Orders' principals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. We should share the vision to “Build the Body Christ” with other Catholic men by inviting them to join our Order.
